Petra Diamonds has appointed Gregory Stephenson as its Diamond Marketing Manager. Stephenson holds a portfolio of having worked for De Beers, London in the its diamond sorting department of the Diamond Trading Company (DTC). He has gained a seven year work experience in diamond purchase overseas for the DTC, working in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola, Congo- Brazzavile and Antwerp, before being posted to Johannesburg with Diamdel and subsequently the De Beers head office. %% He will have a promising portfolio to build at Petra, as the the company is presently scaling its production base in South Africa, with plans to increase the number of its mines from four to six, with the acquisitions of Cullinan and Kimberley Underground mines.
