The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) has decided reduce the cost of its GIA Diamond Dossier® service by up to 12 percent on diamonds weighing up to 1.49 cts. The price reduction will be effective immediately. Also, the body will introduce two new volume-based programmes, for a limited time edition beginning January 1, 2009. %% GIA has decided that for those clients who qualify for this offer, it will supply customised grading report sleeves specifically designed to highlight the manufacturer’s or retailer’s brand name. Also, such customers can chose to acquire personalised inscriptions on their diamonds for 25 percent less than the usual fee.
