As reported by AFNS, Bulgari SpA’s net profits for the year 2008 dipped by 45.1 percent, amounting to €82.9 million. The company cited lowered sales in almost all its product categories as consumers chose to spend less. Sales of its jewellery product category dipped by 1.5 percent amounting to €448.4 million in the entire year, while it decreased by 13 percent during the fourth quarter. The sales of watches slipped down more, by 11 percent, to €263.7 million. %% The retailer is cautious of a more difficult business year in 2009. Although the year 2008 did see sales of its perfumes category increase by 13.9 percent.
