Rio Tinto has appointed Clark McEwen as marketing manager in its Antwerp-based sales and marketing management team. He will operate from Antwerp beginning March 1, 2010 and report to Jean-Marc Lieberherr, general manager of sales and marketing at Rio Tinto Diamonds. %% McEwen holds in-depth knowledge of the diamond pipeline, a work experience involving trading, manufacturing, branding and retail over 25 years in the diamond industry. %% When taking over the new role, McEwen will replace Patrick Coppens. The latter would be taking on position of sales manager, heading the customer account management team beginning February 1, 2010.
