Gold prices reached Rs 16,310 per 10 grams at the bullion market on Thursday, which indicates them falling to nearly a two-month low. The dip in prices has been prompted by continued selling behaviour, following a bearish trend in New York, as reported in a leading financial media. %% Price of standard gold (99.5 purity) fell by Rs 65 per 10 grams, closing at Rs 16,310 over the previous day’s closing of Rs 16,375, reports add. Pure gold (99.9 purity) showed a fall of a similar margin and closed at Rs 16,395, as compared to Rs 16,460 on Wednesday. Reports also state that in New York, gold futures decreased on Wednesday, due to the dollar strengthening against the euro. Also, gold for April delivery, slipped by 1.4 per cent or USD 14.90 and closed at USD 1,088.80 an ounce, reports add.
