HRD Antwerp, made the official inauguration of a new non-commercial trade association known as the Belgium HRD Association China, during the Antwerp Week in the Belgium-EU pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo 2010. The Belgium HRD Association China is established as a platform fostering networking opportunities between graduates of HRD Antwerp courses, providing its members a direct link to the Antwerp World Diamond Centre, and updated information on diamond industry developments. It also seeks to improve dialogue between the Chinese and Belgian diamond sectors. %% The organisation will be located in the China Diamond Trading Centre, Shanghai, at the HRD Antwerp premises. Its inauguration was presided over by Antwerp Governor, Ms. Cathy Berx. %% The World Expo opened in May and continues until the end of October by which time organisers estimate 70 million people will have visited the site.
