In the first six months of 2010, Alrosa reached a net income of $97.3 million from a loss of $482.6 million in the same six months last year. The company’s revenues increased 300 percent year on year to $1.76 billion, although its production showed a dip to 16.6 million carats from 17.4 million carats in the corresponding period last year. %% Sales in the first half this year were at $1.9 billion, of which 31 percent were transacted through long-term contracts. Preliminary sales in the second quarter valued $997 million, including domestic sales worth $249.1 million and export sales worth $747.9 million.
