VIETNAMESE police authorities at the Ho Chi Minh City airport arrested a couple that arrived from Hong Kong as their luggage was found to contain a number of diamonds hidden in secret compartments at the bottom of their suitcases. Airport authorities had placed the two suspects under surveillance as they had begun making regular overseas flights recently.%%One parcel was found to contain some 428 diamonds (weight unknown) worth an estimated $150,000, while the value of 1,000 other diamonds was yet to be ascertained, the authorities stated. The police also conducted a raid on a jewellery shop in the city that was owned by the couple.
