In July 2010, Botswana’s exports of polished and rough diamonds put together decreased by 56 percent to $126.1 million, states the bank of Botswana. Although further details into the country’s July exports have not been so far furnished, it is reported that diamond exports in the first seven months of the year valued $1.54 billion rising 31 percent.
