Classic Diamonds (India) Ltd. has announced its financial results for the second fiscal quarter closing September 30, 2010. It noted a 50 percent decrease in its net sales to $26 million. Its diamond unit saw a 7 percent boost in sales to $42.5 million, of which the company attributes majority to its jewellery unit. There was a jump in intersegment sales from $100,000 in the said quarter last year to $23.4 million. Jewellery sales dropped 45 percent to $6.9 million. %% Net profits dipped 55 percent to $730,000 and expenses were slashed by 52 percent to $23.7 million.
