Day 3: Gold continues to rule the marquee at IIJS Signature

Jewellery fares well as compared to loose stones. However, there were genuine buyers and inquiries.

Tanishq has found a winner of its ‘Queen of Diamond 2010' contest bumper prize - which is diamond jewellery worth Rs. 50 lakh. The winner, Indore's Rizwana Samplewala, was presented the award at the hands of veteran actress Sharmila Tagore, in New Delhi. %% The jewellery retail major has been organising the contest in the past years, and took this year’s edition to a larger scale. The contest was run pan-India beginning October 2010, with a voew to tapping the diamond jewellery demand in the festive season. %% It invited buyers to enter the contest with purchasing of jewellery worth Rs 15,000/- or more at a Tanishq outfit and stand the chance to win prizes. The retailer has designated a total of Rs. 5 crore worth of diamond jewellery to be given away as prizes. %% The contest also saw seven regional awards of Rs. 4 lakh each being presented.
