Winners of the most coveted ‘IJ Jewellers Choice Design Awards’ will be announced soon as today seven-member jury chose the 22 deserving winners at a grand jury meet at Sofitel in Mumbai. Winners would be announced in a grand ceremony on November 20, 2014.%% To choose 22 finest designs from the best of the best creations from the country’s gem and jewellery world is no mean task. And, we can assure you that the jury members had a tough day. Post jury meet, one could see the feeling of accomplishment on their faces. And now we, at Indian Jeweller, are more than eager to bring you this year’s best designs. %% We had received 500+ design entries in 22 categories, out of which 89 designs were shortlisted for the grand jury meet. The panel of jury members has selected 22 winners. Each jury has given points on a scale of 1 to 5 on various factors for each design like Innovation, Wear-ability, Uniqueness, Finishing and Designing. This year, too, we were honoured to have Rajiv Jain : Ex-Chairman of Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council of India, Secretary, Jaipur Jewellery Show, Director, Sambhav Gems; Nirupa Bhatt : Managing Director, Gemological Institute of America (India & Middle East); Bunty Bajaj : Chief Designer, Krsala Jewellery, Hyderabad; Poonam Soni: Founder & Bespoke Jewellery Designer, PSSL Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai; Aftab Saif Bandukwala : Founder, Principal Architect, V-Design Architectural Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai; Sounia Gohil: Fashion Designer, Mumbai and; Manasi Moghe, Miss India Universe 2013.%% To know who this year’s best designs are, watch this space.
