Petra Diamonds has sold a diamond of 74.7 carats for $1,012,636 at $13,556 per carat, amongst others in its second sale of diamonds recovered from the Koffiefontein mine. The stone was remarkable as being the first ever sold for more than $1 million, by Petra.
The overall sale recorded 11,548 carats sold for $4.85 million in total, with $240 per carat.
