For the first time ever, this World Animal Day- October 4th, three influential industry experts, friends and animal lovers Bina Aziz (Artist), Amy Billimoria (Fashion Designer) and Gautam Ghanasingh (Creative Director & CEO of Ghanasingh BE TRUE) have come together to create awareness against animal cruelty and extinction and to highlight the importance of animal rights and welfare.

The extent of human greed on our ecology and wildlife has been one of the widest concerns of the 21st century. As a result, World Animal Day is celebrated globally to make the world a better place for all animals.

It is heart-breaking to hear about domestic and wild animals being beaten up, burnt alive or being killed for sports, entertainment, or medicinal purposes. The alarming rate at which species are disappearing is something which should be a cause for concern for us all. Not only do they add beauty and wonder to the natural world, they are also of great global economic importance.

Stories about disappearing wildlife and animal abuse aren’t uncommon. As elephants in circus’ get trained with electric shocks, abused for tourism or even killed for their tusks; horses get maltreated, whipped and over-exhausted; lions in common zoos go unfed for days and panther’s enter a state of extinction due to unbridled hunting – the question of wildlife conservation has become even more pressing. What’s more? According to WWF statistics, only 3890 tigers remain in the wild due to ongoing poaching activities!

Using these wild life animals as their inspiration, the three reputed maestros, from different walks of life are trying to make a difference by presenting 'Call of The Wild', on 4th of October 2016, for this noble cause.

Bina Aziz has painted a series of works on canvas, inspired by wildlife using mediums such as oils and acrylic paints. Playing muse, Bina’s art works have helped Amy Billimoria to create a distinct collection of contemporary separates using strong textures of lazer cutting, colour blocking and layering to create stylised silhouettes, strongly portraying that animal inspired clothing can be worn without causing harm to them. Gautam Ghanasingh will curate an exclusive animal inspired jewellery collection designed by Bina Aziz along with Ghanasingh BE TRUE's ingenious craftsmanship skills. The Limited Edition collection includes unique pieces, using patterns and designs engulfed with modernism for the discerning buyer.

Part proceeds will go to The Probably Paradise Trust by Roxanne Davur that shelters more than 200 innocent and ailing animals that need attention.

Shares Bina Aziz, "Its heart wrenching to hear of atrocities being committed towards innocent animals. Last year at the Masai Mara safari in Kenya, I had witnessed the migration of all kinds of animals like elephants, lions, tigers, zebras, monkeys in hordes with their babies. That was nature against the beautiful orange lit skies. This is where I felt inspired to do something for the endangered species and other animals along with dear friends Amy Billimoria and Gautam Ghanasingh. Three likeminded professionals who are committed to this cause thus celebrating human relationship and bond with the animal kingdom.”

Shares Amy Billimoria, “Feels great to be a part of the initiative to spread the awareness on cruelty to animals, a cause very close to my heart. A unique exhibit of style amalgamation along with my dear friends Bina Aziz and Gautam Ghanasingh, I have designed a collection using inspiration from Bina's paintings and techniques showing that animal inspired clothing can be worn without causing any harm to them.”

Shares Gautam Ghanasingh, CEO and Creative Director, Ghanasingh BE TRUE, “We are happy to be associated with The Probably Paradise Trust along with Bina Aziz and Amy Billimoria, adding to the cause of animal rights. We strive to give back to society in whatever way we can. This exclusive collection designed by Bina symbolizes the magnificence of nature, showcasing our labour of love for jewellery, in aid of these voiceless & rare creatures. This is our way of giving back to the society.”
