The company seeks approval of Treasury to continue operations

Bonaparte Diamond Mines, will be conducting its marine sampling programme off the shores of Namibia, using the marine diamond sampling vessel MV Douglas Bay of De Beers Marine, on a contract basis. The programme which is slated to begin in October 2007, is expected to last 35 to 50 days, excluding results.
Also the mining at the ML111 (DPI) JO project which began in January 2007, has been slow in development, due to bad weather conditions. The diamond production from the finds was 1,434 carats in July and 874 in August, with the average size per stone being 0.43 carats.
