Jaipur-based jewellery house Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas marked the first anniversary of its presence at Jio World Plaza in Mumbai with an evening focused on its jewellery heritage and archival creations.

The event brought together guests from Mumbai’s fashion, luxury and cultural circles. The programme featured nine archival and collectible jewels presented through artistic installations, highlighting the craftsmanship and techniques associated with the house.

The showcased pieces included Ember in Sand, The Shree Veni, The Golden Blush, Scent of the Sea, Jaipur Pink, Pannika, Shahi Kantha, The Legacy of Art and The Queen of Ni.

The evening opened with a conversation between Rhea Kapoor and Yash Agarwal, Creative Director of Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas, on the evolution of the house and its interpretation of traditional Indian jewellery for contemporary audiences.

“Decades after establishing our original presence in Bombay, we are deeply honoured to welcome discerning guests once again to the city nearly a century later,” said Yash Agarwal.

He added that the event reflected the brand’s connection with Jaipur’s jewellery heritage. “The story of Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas is closely intertwined with Jaipur’s jewellery heritage.”

The house said its Jaipur legacy dates back to the late 19th century, while its historic atelier opened in Jaipur’s Johri Bazaar in 1930.
