The most expensive piece of jewellery to be ever created in India, it took two years to complete the set.
Nirav Modi, internationally acclaimed jeweller, has designed a ruby suite of necklace, a pair of earrings and a bracelet worth Rs.105 crore. The rubies were gathered from Mogak mines in Myanmar over the course of 5 years.
It took two years for Modi and his team to complete the necklace. Nirav Modi said to The Hindu, “It was completed just two months back. It has been designed by me and manufactured here at our facility at Kurla in Mumbai. It is completely made in India.”
The set comprises of 27 Mogak rubies weighing 71.11 carats and is made of finest of diamonds of D, E, F colour weighing 128.56 carats. The fine cut diamonds were sourced from across the world and the set according to reports has not been custom-made for anybody.
