The agreement intends to incaese the global competitive abilities of the Armenian and Russian jewellery manufacturers and also encourages bilateral exchange of information. Alrosa's subsidiary OJSC Investment Group ALROSA, is believed to already have prioir operations in Armenia.
The Armenian government and Alrosa have decided to cooperate with each other in diamond and jewellery manufacturing. This agreenment was finalsed during the visit on 06 August 2007, of a delegation of ALROSA headed by its President Sergey Vybornov to meet Republic of Armenia’s President Robert Kocharian and Prime Minister Serge Sargsian.
