When one thinks of Morocco, the fascinating patchwork of nomadic tribes, ancient Kingdoms, vibrant colours and bustling spice markets is what comes to mind. Inspired by the region’s historical symbols, art, architecture and native flora, Raniwala 1881’s Zahira – meaning ‘luminous’ – is a unique handcrafted collection of necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings.

Inspired by traditional zellige tiles, ornamental domes and ogees, each jewel is a bold play on geometric shapes and traditional Moroccan colours in Raniwala’s signature flat-cut polki diamonds, gold jadau and delicate meenakaari work.

In keeping with the brand’s heritage, the collection juxtaposes the Islamic crescent, bohemian mosaic patterns from the Hispano-Mooresque period and Arabesque motifs – with Indian-Mughal paisley designs, gilded enamel patterns, gota-patti, bandhani and block print motifs.

Handcrafted in a contemporary palette of exquisite teal, gold, cobalt blue, eggplant and aqua; the stunning 22K gold pieces feature cabochons of Russian emeralds, tourmalines and tanzanite, accentuated by fine seed pearl strands.
