AWDC had earlier also, announced a fund raiser for Basket loves Kids, a youth basketball initiative by the Giants, to be held on Aug. 29. "We are very happy with this collaboration with one of the economic driving forces of the city. Thanks to the support of the diamond community, we will be able to maximize our sports efforts," mentioned Antwerp Diamond Giants President Roger Roels. This platform would help the organisation gain publicity on an international level.

Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC), in order to promote the Antwerp diamond community and its initiatives, will sponsor the internationally recognised basketball team -Antwerp Giants. With the endorsement, the team will be renamed as Antwerp Diamond Giants and will wear the line ‘Diamonds love Antwerp’ on their jerseys.
