Gitanjali Group, which until now retailed renowned diamond jewellery brands like Nakshatra, Asmi and Sangini, will now sell loose diamonds for its upper and middle class consumers. This will break the myth of loose diamonds being the treasure of the elite.
The loose diamonds branded as ‘EzeeDiamonds’, will be sold at a minimum price of Rs.5,000 and a maximum of Rs. 4 lakh. Their size will vary between 0.02 to 1ct and would be certified by the International Gemological Institute. This initiative, would be attractive to even the average college goer, who can now buy a pack of loose diamonds for investments or design one’s own jewellery with them.
