Ravi Kapoor, Managing Director, Kays Jewels, Kanpur, received the ET Inspiring Leaders award recently, which was presented to him by Sidharth Nath Singh, Minister, MSME, Uttar Pradesh. Actor Tisca Chopra of Taare Zameen Par fame, co-presented the award.

Speaking on the occasion, Kapoor said, “I am humbled to receive this prestigious award, it is, indeed, a great honour. I am happy that our work is being recognized.”

Kays Jewels, one of the prominent jewellery companies of Kanpur, has two stores in the city, and one in Noida. The flagship store is located at Birhana Road in Kanpur, while the second store is in Swaroop Nagar.

Kays Jewels started out in 1980 as an export house, and expanded into retail in 2003. It has earned a name for itself as a jeweller of repute since then.

“We have an extensive collection of bridal jewellery. The trends we are noticing are that heavyweight is selling a little less, and people are preferring lightweight. Moreover, polki is selling more. This can be attributed to celebrity influencers and social media,” said Kapoor.
