Sangeeta Boochra, veteran designer and daughter-in-law of Seth Kistoor Chand Boochra, who was known as the 'Silver King of India', has come out with a new collection, Anantaya, to celebrate Women’s Day.

According to a company statement, “Anantaya is a collection that embraces the unending shakti and power of the divine feminine, and symbolizes the union of the polarities. These designs are inspired by the Mughal era architecture with intricate tribal patterns and bold modern edges, which emphasize the meeting of the masculine and feminine energies.

“Anantaya consists of atheistically handcrafted earrings, pendants, rings and cuffs. Each of its pieces is characterised by eye-catching intricate elements. These can be styled pieces with a basic outfit or stacked up. Either way, it makes a statement. Hence, a perfect gift for women who happen to adore jewellery that beautifully reflects their inimitable persona and distinctive style.”

Sangeeta Boochra set up her jewellery business in 1994. Her jewellery comprises statement necklaces to showstopper earrings and bracelets. She uses gemstones such as rubies, sapphires, emeralds, aquamarines, turquoises, and more, to give a royal look to her jewellery pieces.

“The pieces reflect the intricate craftsmanship of temples down South, with a multitude of cultural motifs synonymous with the tribal rhythm of the Bodos of Assam, the feisty Bhils of Gujarat and Rajasthan, the vibrant Bhutias of Sikkim, the fascinating Gaddis of Himachal Pradesh—breathing life into the craftsmanship of the Sangeeta Boochra line,” reads a company statement.
