Results of the bi-annual elections of the Jewellers Association of Jaipur were announced late on Tuesday night. The election officer C S R Sharma informed that from 6431members, 4135 members cast their votes – the highest till now. Out of the 15 members elected, 11 members belonged to the United Jewellers Group and 4 to the Public Voice Group. 3 votes were empty and 31 votes were not accepted.

The elections were held on May, 31 at the Jan Upyogi Bhavan from morning 8am to evening 5pm and counting started at around 7pm. Raju Agarwal Mangodiwala received 2326 votes the highest in number till date. Winning members’ votes included D P Khandelwal who received 2279 votes, Niraj Lunavat received 2209 votes, Alok Saukhiya received 2053 votes, Alok Godha got 2005 votes, Ashok Maheshwari got 1975 votes, Mahavir Kumar Daga received 1947 votes, Pankaj Saukhiya won 1853 votes, Abhishek Sand won 1812, Sunil Manihar received1760 votes, Narendra Lakhi received 1743 votes, Govind Prakash Agarwal received 1740 votes, Pradeep Mehta received 1714 votes, Abhishek Jain got 1798 and Vitthal Das Maheshwari 1687 votes.
