Bharat Diamond Bourse Marks 41 Years of Excellence & 15 Years of Operations of BDB Complex with the Release of customized My Stamp by Department of Posts, Government of India

Mumbai, October 17, 2025: Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB), the world’s largest diamond trading exchange, proudly marks a dual milestone this year; 41 years since its incorporation and 15 glorious years of successful operations at its iconic Bandra Kurla Complex premises since 17th October 2010.

To commemorate this milestone, the Department of Posts, Government of India, released a special BDB Postal Stamp recognizing the Bourse’s outstanding contribution to India’s diamond industry and global trade excellence. The stamp was inaugurated by Shri Ashish Shelar, Hon.  Cabinet Minister of Information Technology & Cultural Affairs, Government of Maharashtra. Smt Poonam Mahajan, Hon. Former Member of Lok Sabha Mumbai North Central. Mr. Amitabh Singh, Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra & Goa Circle. & Shri Dnyaneshwar B Patil , IAS Zonal Development Commissioner – SEEPZ. Mr. Anoop Mehta, President, Bharat Diamond Bourse Mr. Mehul Shah, Vice President, Bharat Diamond Bourse. Mr Bharat Shah, President, MDMA. Mr. Kirit Bhansali, Chairman, GJEP.

Founded with the vision to create a world-class hub for India’s diamond trade, BDB has grown into the heartbeat of the global diamond industry, housing over 3,000 offices and facilitating seamless trade for over 5,250 members. Over the years, it has played a pivotal role in strengthening India’s leadership position as the world’s largest diamond exchange & manufacturing hub, contributing significantly to the nation’s foreign exchange earnings, employment generation, and skill development.
