GJEPC to Undertake a Revision in Panel Seats of COA

An Extraordinary General Meeting to be held on July 8 where inclusions of new panels will be announced

GJEPC will host an EGM (Extraordinary General Meeting) to announce the undertaking of a revision of panel seats of COA. The E-voting for the same will commence at 9:30 am on 5th July and will end at 5:30 pm on 7th July. The EGM will be held on 8th July.

Three new panels will be introduced by the COA: SEZ, Studded Jewellery and Lab-Grown Diamonds. Sez accounts for 17.8% of total exports of Rs 52, 190 Cr while lab-grown diamonds has seen a massive growth over the last few years amounting to Rs 10,372 Cr constituting 3.5% of the total exports. Studded gold jewellery exports constitutes 13.6% in the total share amounting to Rs 40,012 Cr. Hence inclusion of these panels in the COA is of prime importance for further growth of these categories.
