GJEPC Hosts 9th India Rough Gemstone Sourcing Show In Jaipur

The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) convenes the 9th edition of the India Rough Gemstone Sourcing Show in Jaipur

The 9th India Rough Gemstone Sourcing Show (IRGSS), organised by the GJEPC, opened in Jaipur on 5th March 2024. The Commissioner of Customs, Jaipur, Shri Sugrive Meena, inaugurated the event. The opening ceremony also saw the presence of  M.S. Meena, Additional Commissioner of Customs,   Suresh Chaudhary, Deputy Commissioner of Customs, Sankara Raman, Assistant Commissioner of Customs, ACC, Jaipur. B.N. Gupta, Convener of the Silver, Fashion and Costume Jewellery Panel, Sanjay Kala and Vijay Kedia from the Regional Committee, and D.P. Khandelwal, President of the Jewellers Association of Jaipur, were among the other trade members who attended the inauguration.

The 20-day exhibition, which runs until 23rd March 2024, showcases a variety of rough emeralds from Kagem Mining Ltd., Zambia, a company owned by Gemfields. The Managing Director of Product & Sales of Kagem Mining, Shri Adrian Banks, was also present at the inauguration and will stay in India for the duration of the IRGSS.
