GIA India celebrates graduates of Diamonds Diploma Program in Mumbai

GIA India recently hosted a momentous graduation ceremony for the students of its Graduate Diamonds Diploma Program at Mumbai

The event welcomed esteemed guests, including Akshay Shah, Director Sales of Large Size Solitaire Category at Dharmanandan Diamonds Pvt. Ltd., who graced the occasion as the chief guest. Apoorva Deshingkar, Senior Director – Education and Market Development at GIA India, was also in attendance.

The ceremony commenced with an engaging interactive session, during which Akshay Shah shared invaluable insights gleaned from his journey in the diamond industry. Emphasizing the importance of passion and dedication, he encouraged the graduating students to pursue their aspirations wholeheartedly, assuring them that success would inevitably follow.

Apoorva Deshingkar extended gratitude to Akshay for his enlightening discourse and highlighted the significance of embracing technological advancements like Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality in shaping the future of the industry. She urged the students to adopt a proactive approach towards exploring and leveraging these technologies to their advantage.

Reflecting on their experiences at GIA, graduates Tanvi Surve and Ketaki Khemalapure expressed profound gratitude for the enriching learning journey. Tanvi, who transitioned into the gem and jewellery industry as a jewellery model, credited GIA for providing comprehensive education and nurturing her passion for gems and jewellery. Similarly, Ketaki, with a background in the gem and jewellery sector, expressed satisfaction with her decision to pursue studies at GIA, emphasizing the invaluable lessons learned, such as the importance of organization, which she intends to apply in her future endeavours.

The graduation ceremony served as a testament to GIA's commitment to equipping aspiring professionals with the knowledge and skills essential for success in the dynamic world of gems and jewellery.
