Joint Meeting Paves Way for Bright Future of Jaipur's Gems and Jewellery Industry

A recent joint meeting of the Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS) and the Jewellers Association Jaipur led to several initiatives aimed at revitalizing the sector, enhancing artisan training, and ensuring the industry's competitive edge

In a recent joint meeting, the Executive Committees of Jewellers Association Jaipur and Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS) discussed the future of our cherished Jaipur gems and jewellery industry. Proposals to make our traditional craftsmanship more competitive, create employment opportunities, support women artisans, and provide better training were unanimously passed.

The President of the Jewellers Association, Alok Sonkia said that the entire world is aware of the skills of Jaipur's artisans in gem cutting. However, this art also requires technical support. Secretary of Jewellers Association, Neeraj Lunawat proposed to present a long-term plan for artisan training, better wages, secure future.

JJS Chairman, Vimal Chand Surana stated that it is the need of the hour for both organisations to come together to find solutions to the challenges faced by the gem industry. JJS Secretary, Rajiv Jain said that now special efforts need to be made for promoting Ruby (Manik). 

Other dignitaries present also shared their views on this occasion.
