Q: What are the key highlights of IIJS Signature 2026, and what will trade visitors immediately notice as new, or enhanced, compared to previous editions?

A: This show is going to have an enhanced silver category pavilion, which is moving to Jio Convention Centre with 88 companies and 159 booths. So, it is going to be a bigger pavilion. Also, there is a much more enhanced product categorization, which will really help buyers navigate the show in a more efficient way.

Besides, there will be a dedicated crafts pavilion in Hall No. 4 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, which will have a live demonstration of different kinds of heritage craftsmanship from all over India. This will be very interesting for all visitors.

Q: Beyond serving domestic buyers, IIJS has become an important platform for export-led business. How does IIJS Signature 2026 specifically support Indian manufacturers and brands looking to expand their global footprint?

A: Export is always a priority sector for both GJEPC and IIJS. The show is increasingly positioned to be a global sourcing platform, and we do a lot of activities to make it a success. In September 2025, we organized the first-ever B2B jewellery show in Saudi Arabia, Saudi Arabia Jewellery Exposition (SAJEX 2025), which received a very positive response.

Q: What steps are being taken to attract serious international buyers, and how is the show being positioned to ensure meaningful export enquiries and long-term overseas partnerships for exhibitors?

A: We have about 1400 international visitors coming from 40 different countries for this edition of IIJS Signature. There are 12 delegations which are attending the show. There is a lot of direct marketing involved with the aim of attracting international buyers.

Q: What message would you like to share with buyers and exhibitors visiting IIJS Signature 2026, particularly in the context of current global market challenges and opportunities?

A: Firstly, I would say this is the first show of the year. It sets the tone for the rest of the year, and for the seasons to come. In spite of the global challenges, India still remains a very stable and strong force globally.

For buyers, it is a great platform to discover new trends, new products. And for exhibitors, it is a great place to connect with the buyers. So, I would say this is the most important platform that enables buyers and exhibitors to network, and take the business forward.

Q: In one sentence, how would you define the role of IIJS Signature today in strengthening India’s position in the global gem and jewellery trade?

A: The role of IIJS Bharat Signature 2026 is to drive exports, drive overall business first, and to position itself as a prime international event in the global gem and jewellery industry.
