Jewellery designer Poonam Soni has launched the Brace-Watch, a bracelet styled as a watch incorporating miniature artwork by artist Nawaz Modi Singhania. The launch marks a renewed collaboration between the two, following their earlier joint project S2 in 2011.

The S2 collection featured jewelled cuffs with animal motifs, including horses and leopards. The new Brace-Watch introduces painted miniature discs depicting big cats such as tigers and jaguars, set into a bracelet construction resembling a timepiece.

Each Brace-Watch is crafted using monochromatic baguette-cut stones arranged around the artwork. According to the brand, the pieces are produced in red, green and cobalt blue colourways using stones including rubies and emeralds. The bracelet format has been trademarked as the Brace-Watch.

The company stated that each piece requires approximately eight months of production, involving multiple layers of hand-selected stones arranged around the miniature artwork.

Commenting on the launch, Poonam Soni said the piece reflects her approach to jewellery as wearable art. Artist Nawaz Modi Singhania said the collaboration brings together painting and jewellery design into a single format.

The launch represents a shift for the House of Poonam Soni, which has traditionally focused on one-of-a-kind bespoke pieces, towards a collectible format designed for a broader base of art and design collectors.

Poonam Soni has operated an appointment-only bespoke studio since 1989 and has previously showcased her work internationally, including at Harrods London. The brand continues to operate as a self-funded luxury jewellery house, with the next generation now joining the business.
