The fourth edition of IIJS Bharat - Tritiya is set to take place from March 21 to 23, 2026 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), reinforcing its position as a key pre-season sourcing platform for the Indian jewellery trade. Organized by GJEPC, the show will be held alongside IGJME Bharat - Tritiya, which focuses on machinery and technology solutions for jewellery manufacturing.

Timed strategically ahead of the Akshaya Tritiya buying season, the exhibition continues to strengthen its relevance within the retail procurement calendar. The event provides retailers with access to fresh inventories and design directions, enabling them to align stock with anticipated festive and wedding demand.

This year’s edition is expected to host over 1,100 exhibitors across approximately 1,900 stalls, covering more than 60,000 sq. metres of exhibition space. Organizers project attendance of over 15,000 trade visitors from 500+ Indian cities, along with international buyers from more than 40 countries, underlining the show’s growing scale and reach.

Strategic Timing for Festive Demand

Akshaya Tritiya remains one of India’s most significant gold-buying occasions, traditionally driving strong sales across gold jewellery, coins and investment-led purchases. IIJS Bharat - Tritiya is positioned at a critical juncture ahead of this demand cycle, allowing retailers to finalize inventory strategies and secure merchandise aligned with consumer sentiment.

For manufacturers, the show serves as a testing ground for new collections tailored to festive and bridal buying patterns. Direct interaction with retailers provides immediate market feedback, enabling quicker response to pricing sensitivities, design preferences and regional demand variations.

Expanding Industry Participation

The exhibition will span Halls 3, 4 and 5 at BIEC, reflecting continued growth in exhibitor participation. Companies across the value chain — including jewellery manufacturers, loose diamond suppliers, gemstone dealers, laboratories, educational institutions and machinery providers — will be represented.

Participation is expected from key manufacturing hubs such as Mumbai, Surat, Jaipur, Kolkata and Coimbatore, showcasing collections catering to both domestic retail and export markets. The co-located IGJME Bharat - Tritiya will highlight advancements in jewellery manufacturing technology, including innovations in design, casting, finishing and production efficiency.

Diverse Product Mix

IIJS Bharat - Tritiya will present a comprehensive product spectrum aligned with current market demand. Plain gold jewellery — particularly lightweight, daily-wear designs — continues to dominate domestic retail preferences and will remain a core category.

Studded jewellery, including diamond and coloured gemstone pieces, will feature across price segments, catering to both everyday and occasion-led purchases. Silver jewellery and gifting categories are expected to see strong representation, reflecting growing demand from younger consumers and value-conscious buyers.

The exhibition will also include loose natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds, coloured gemstones and finished jewellery, alongside services from grading laboratories and industry training institutions.

The Select Club Returns

Following its debut in the previous edition, The Select Club will return as a curated high-value segment located in Hall 3. The section will showcase couture jewellery collections from select brands known for specialised craftsmanship, intricate detailing and rare gemstones.

Designed as a focused sourcing environment, The Select Club caters to retailers seeking exclusive, high-ticket pieces distinct from mass-market offerings, reinforcing segmentation within the broader exhibition.

Technology Integration and Visitor Experience

Organizers have introduced several digital and logistical enhancements to streamline visitor experience. These include pre-registration systems, digital badges and facial recognition-enabled entry processes to reduce wait times.

The IIJS mobile app will offer real-time updates, exhibitor listings and a 3D interactive floor plan, helping buyers navigate the show efficiently. Supporting infrastructure such as shuttle services and a range of accommodation options near the venue have also been arranged.

In addition to on-floor business activity, networking evenings and Innov8 Talks sessions will provide platforms for knowledge exchange and industry dialogue.

Sustainability Initiatives

The show will continue to promote GJEPC’s “One Earth” initiative, which focuses on environmental responsibility within the gems and jewellery sector. The programme has reportedly facilitated the plantation of over 100,000 trees through industry participation and will remain a key highlight at Tritiya.

Strengthening the IIJS Portfolio

Within the broader IIJS exhibition calendar, Tritiya has carved a niche as a domestic, season-driven sourcing platform. While IIJS Premiere caters to international trade and IIJS Signature focuses on curated offerings, Tritiya addresses immediate retail procurement needs ahead of Akshaya Tritiya.

The Bengaluru location further strengthens engagement with southern markets — including Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana — which collectively account for a significant share of India’s gold jewellery consumption.

With expanded scale, strong exhibitor participation and a diverse product mix, IIJS Bharat - Tritiya 2026 is expected to play a critical role in facilitating trade, supporting inventory planning and driving business momentum ahead of the upcoming festive season.
