The All India Gem & Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC) will host the 9th edition of the India Gems and Jewellery Show (GJS April 2026) from April 4 to 7 at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai. The show, themed “Akshay Kala: The Eternal Art,” will be inaugurated by Shri Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Hon’ble Minister of Revenue, Maharashtra, as Chief Guest, alongside Zaverilal V. Mandalia (Zaveri Kaka) as Guest of Honour.

Strategically scheduled between Gudi Padwa and Akshaya Tritiya, the show aligns with peak wedding and festive demand cycles. The exhibition will host over 400 exhibitors across 700+ booths and is expected to attract more than 15,000 visitors, with over 2,000 room nights arranged for hosted buyers.

Market trends indicate sustained jewellery demand despite price fluctuations, driven by cultural affinity for gold and growing organized retail. Consumers are increasingly favouring lightweight gold jewellery and diamond-studded designs. India continues to play a critical role in global diamond processing, with Surat and Mumbai supplying polished diamonds to international markets.

A key highlight is Manthan, scheduled on April 3 at the same venue, organised by GJC in collaboration with the India Gold Policy Centre (IGPC), a joint initiative of IIM Ahmedabad and the World Gold Council, with support from GIA and MCX. The conclave will bring together policymakers and industry stakeholders to deliberate on Vision 2047, ease of doing business, and industry competitiveness.

The show will also feature Mindspeak, a seminar series focused on consumer trends, product innovation, and retail transformation, alongside networking events such as GJC Nite.

Rajesh Rokde, Chairman, GJC, said, “The 9th edition of Humara Apna Show is not just an exhibition — it is a proud celebration of India’s eternal artistry and festive spirit. Timed perfectly between Gudi Padwa and Akshaya Tritiya, GJS 2026 will showcase exquisite collections and strengthen trade ties across the value chain. We are privileged to announce that Shri Chandrashekhar Bawankule Ji, Minister of Revenue, Maharashtra, will inaugurate this landmark edition as Chief Guest, lending immense honour and stature to the occasion.”

Avinash Gupta, Vice Chairman, GJC, added, “GJS April 2026 is envisioned as a powerful platform for jewellers of all sizes to explore new designs, discover emerging trends, and connect with peers across the industry. Beginning with Manthan - the Gems and Jewellery Conclave - where the brightest minds will shape the Vision Blueprint 2047, followed by an exclusive Elite Meet with a power-packed session with Dr. Vivek Bindra, as he brings game-changing business insights to the stage. Continuing through Mindspeak’s thought leadership sessions, GJS April 2026 will stand as a comprehensive industry movement that combines ideas, dialogue, and business growth.”
