The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) has strengthened its outreach in Thailand through a meeting with officials at the Embassy of India in Bangkok, as part of its efforts to expand international participation at IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026.

The GJEPC delegation held a courtesy meeting with the Indian Embassy to discuss opportunities for enhancing bilateral cooperation in the gem and jewellery sector and increasing engagement between businesses in India and Thailand. The discussions also focused on encouraging Thai trade buyers and industry stakeholders to visit IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026, scheduled to be held in Mumbai in August.

According to GJEPC, the Embassy expressed its support for the Council's initiatives to promote the exhibition among Thailand's gem and jewellery community. The collaboration is expected to strengthen trade linkages between the two countries while providing Indian manufacturers and exporters with greater access to buyers from the Southeast Asian market.

The engagement forms part of GJEPC's broader international buyer outreach programme ahead of IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026. In recent months, the Council has undertaken similar initiatives across key overseas markets to increase global buyer participation and reinforce IIJS Bharat's position as a sourcing platform for the international gem and jewellery trade.

Thailand is recognized as an important global hub for coloured gemstones, jewellery manufacturing and trading, making it a strategic market for India's export-focused gem and jewellery industry. By strengthening institutional ties and facilitating industry engagement, GJEPC aims to create new business opportunities for exhibitors participating in IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026.

IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026 will bring together manufacturers, exporters, retailers and international buyers across jewellery, diamonds, gemstones and allied product categories, serving as one of India's key B2B sourcing exhibitions for the global jewellery industry.
