Khandelwal Jewellers marked 16 years of supporting employees’ children’s education this Independence Day, covering school fees and learning expenses for more than 75 students annually.
Khandelwal Jewellers (KJ) has completed 16 years of its employee education initiative, which supports the schooling and higher education of employees’ children. The milestone was marked on Independence Day at the company’s flagship showroom.
Under the programme, KJ provides 100% support for school fees, uniforms, books and stationery for employees’ children. More than 75 students benefit from the initiative each year, according to the company.
The initiative forms part of KJ’s self-driven employee welfare and CSR efforts and is not linked to any regulatory requirement. The company said its approach is based on the principle that “Charity Begins at Home”, with employee families forming a key part of its welfare priorities.
The education support extends beyond school-level studies. According to KJ, several beneficiaries have subsequently pursued higher education in India and overseas, including courses in CA, law and medicine. The company said it continues to support deserving students through their educational journeys.
KJ also stated that it is 100% PF and ESIC compliant, highlighting its focus on employee welfare and social security.
The 16-year milestone was commemorated with employees and their children at the company’s flagship showroom. The gathering focused on the initiative’s role in supporting education and opportunities for the next generation.
The Khandelwal family said, “We strongly believe that charity begins at home. Our employees are an important part of the KJ family, and supporting their children’s education is our way of standing by them beyond the workplace.”
