Bvlgari has opened its first Kolkata boutique at Quest Mall, expanding its India retail network to four boutiques and introducing jewellery, watches and accessories to the eastern market.
Bvlgari has opened its first boutique in Kolkata at Quest Mall, marking the Italian jewellery house’s fourth boutique in India following its presence in Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai. The 115-sq-metre store opened on September 18.
The boutique combines elements of Bvlgari’s Roman design language with references to Kolkata’s architectural and artistic character. The interiors feature travertine portals, onyx counters and fluted walls inspired by Roman columns, while curved showcases reference the maison’s design vocabulary.
A Serpenti chandelier by Italian glassmaker Venini, made with nearly 300 Murano glass crystal wands, forms a central feature of the store. The boutique also includes an Andy Warhol artwork and a bespoke installation by Milan-based artisan studio Pictalab, bringing together maps of Rome and Kolkata with a representation of the Victoria Memorial.
The Kolkata boutique offers Bvlgari’s jewellery, watches, accessories and leather goods, including Serpenti, Octo, B.zero1, Divas’ Dream, Bvlgari Bvlgari and Tubogas collections. The offering also includes two India-exclusive designs — the B.zero1 Kada Bracelet and Bvlgari Mangalsutra.
The opening extends Bvlgari’s physical retail presence into eastern India, adding Kolkata to its existing network of Indian markets.
