Nakshathra Gold & Diamonds has appointed actor Mammootty as its global brand ambassador as the jewellery retailer looks to strengthen brand recognition and support its retail expansion plans across India and overseas markets. The actor is a recipient of the Padma Bhushan award.

The association will feature campaigns across television, print, outdoor advertising and digital platforms. The company plans to use the partnership to reach customers across age groups and promote its gold and certified diamond jewellery offerings.

The campaign will also extend to the retailer’s showrooms through campaign visuals and interactive displays. The company plans to align promotional activities with product launches, including bridal and diamond collections, to encourage store visits.

The appointment forms part of Nakshathra’s plans for the next 12 to 24 months, which include strengthening its presence in existing Indian markets, entering select regions with growth potential and expanding its international retail footprint.

Established in Mukkam, Kozhikode, Kerala, in 2006, Nakshathra Gold & Diamonds operates across India and international markets, including the UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait and Malaysia.
