Rio Tinto puts the spotlight on sustainable jewellery

Rio Tinto will, for the first time, host a booth at the prestigious trade fair as well as participate in a number of educational programs.

The Polish B2B trade fair Amberif Fair is scheduled between March 11-15, 2008 at Gdansk, Poland, in which HRD Antwerp NV has planned a major participation through exhibition, industry seminar and a reception for those attending the fair. %% An HRD gemmologist from the HRD Precious Stones Lab will present a lecture for participants outlining the “Emerald Origin Revisited”. The seminar will be held on March 14 followed by a reception in the mezzanine, hosted by the graduates club of HRD Antwerp. %% Through this fair HRD Antwerp NV is carrying forward its cooperation agreement with the Polish Association of Jewellery Experts (SRJ), involving the provision of loupe courses, diamond grading courses and hands-on workshops. %% Poland has been recently witnessing an increase in the demand for diamond jewellery apart from the traditional amber. The interest in diamond jewellery ahs been spurred by the rise in the purchasing power of Polish consumers.
