Severalmaz, a subsidiary of Alrosa and a diamond producer held its first auction, with 42 lots of diamonds. The diamonds were sourced from the Lomonosov deposit in Arkhangelsk Oblast, and were of varying sizes and colours like yellow, green and pink. The auction was held in Moscow on April 28 and was attended by companies from Russia, Belarus, Belgium, India, Israel and Dubai, reports say. %% According to reports, the largest diamond extracted from the Lomonosov deposit so far, weighed 48 carats. The Lomonosov deposit is believed to contain diamonds worth $12 billion.
