India reduces value addition norms in jewellery

Move prompted by rising bullion prices

The Sangini brand was launched in year 2004 and was being successfully run by seven sightholders before it was recently purchased by Spectrum Jewellery Pvt. Ltd, a part of Sanghavi Exports through a bidding process, a press release said.%%%%The DTC aims to grow in the diamond jewelry market worldwide and in India by introducing new brands targeting separate consumer needs. Once the objective of new brand is fulfilled, DTC progressively hands over its brands to its sightholders, the release said.
The Diamond Trading Corporation (DTC,) the sales and marketing arm of De Beers has handed-over its prime flagship brand Sangini Diamonds to Sanghavi Exports, one of the 93 DTC sightholders.
