To make that first impression at the IIJS 2008, the Thai Gem and Jewelery Traders (TGJTA) has defined some unique promotional efforts at their booth. This Thai pavilion exudes more than just their craft in gemstones; it has been designed to explain the tradition of the Thai lifestyle which is also ingrained in their jewellery. To give the world a first hand experience of their land and the expertise in gemstones, the trade body has organized a lucky draw everyday during the show. The winners to the show will be given a free ticket to Bangkok, Thailand or a gemological course in colored-gemstone identification at the Gem and Jewellery Institute of Thailand (GIT), the country's prime gemology research and teaching institution. Also, 50 lunch coupons will be raffled everyday. %% The delegation at the IIJS has 28 different companies housed in a pavilion with 35 booths. The exhibits include loose coloured gemstones, coloured-gemstone & diamond jewellery and high-end designer jewellery.
