Due to the acute shortage of space in Mumbai, GJEPC is exploring options of other venues at which IIJS 2009 could be held. A city which could be selected for the event is Bangalore. Mr Vasant Mehta, Vice Chairman of GJEPC speaking exclusively to |*Diamond World Magazine*|, mentioned that if IIJS Signature could be held in Goa, then another city could also be shortlisted for the main IIJS event in 2009. He said that if there had been a venue at the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai, the council would not have hesitated to hold the exhibition in Mumbai. Earlier it had been mentioned in industry circles that Reliance Industries (Mukesh Ambani Group) would build a convention centre at the Bandra Kurla Complex. Mr Mehta stated that "if Reliance takes it up on a war footing we could still have a convention centre at BKC and hold IIJS 2010 at this centre."
