BVC forges alliance with Brinks India

The joint venture will enhance the market share of door-to-door service of both BVC Group and Brinks.

The International Gemological Institute (IGI) recently became a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), which has so far inducted 130 entities in the supply chain from mining to retail. The RJC members represent sectors of the diamond and gold supply chain, trade associations and service providers. %% Membership eligibility to the RJC requires the entity to apply the RJC System by upholding the RJC Code of Practices and undergoing third-party auditing for being certified. The system is builds on the international initiatives like the Kimberley Process and ISO standards like the SA8000 and ISO 14001. %% The IGI has earned a repute in diamond grading and gem and jewellery appraisal, and for its School of Gemology. The IGI believes its membership to the RJC will enable its to spread responsible and ethical practices in the industry.
