A exploration and production subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) will be prospecting for diamonds in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, as the state government recently sanctioned a prospecting licence to the same, reports say. %% The licence also permits the company to prospect for gold, copper, lead, zinc and silver. RIL is preparing to invest Rs 1000 crore in the project. The state government has issued the licences in two parts, one for 1084 square kms and another for 735 square kms of area in Rewa, Sidhi and Satna districts of the state.
