JUNIOR Australian miner Nare Diamonds Ltd. sold its third diamond parcel from the Schmidtsdrift mine in South Africa after recommencing mining in April 2006. The parcel weighed a total of 998.63 carats and sold for a total of $592,427 at an average price of $593 per carat.%%The mine recently produced an extremely rare 235 carat gem quality diamond,%%which sold for $10,205.91 per carat totalling $2,398,695. Nare has now sold a total of 2,671 carats of diamonds at an average price of $1,397 per carat raising a total of $3,731,931. Nare owns an 80 per cent interest in Schmidtsdrift, which has an estimated life of 10 years.
