Ghanasingh Be True Celebrates 110th Anniversary

Mumbai-based diamond manufacturing company Asian Star has earned a 62 percent increase in sales to $87.8 million in its fourth quarter ending 31st March 2010. Sale of diamonds rose 61 percent to $85.7 million, and that of jewellery stood at $6.3 million. %% The company’s profits rose to $1 million as compared to net loss worth $2.3 million in the same period last year. In the said three months, its expenses rose 63 percent to $85.2 million. %% In the entire fiscal year, the company’s net profits dipped 35 percent to $6.8 million; sales stood flat at $329 million and expenses increased 2 percent to $315.2 million.
