CIBJO PRESIDENT Gaetano Cavalieri met with top Chinese Jewellery trade officials between August 21-24. He spoke at conference organized by the Chamber of Commerce for Jewelry and Precious Metals Industry of All-China Federation of Industry & Commerce (CCJP), China’s not-for-profit, national guild organization that deals with the interests of the country’s diamond, gemstone and jewelry sector.%% Cavalieri had been invited by CCJP to speak at the 2006 CCJP International Jewellery Forum, where, on August 21, he discussed the potential of the Chinese jewellery industry and market. He also met up with CCJP leaders, including CCJP President Wan Zikun, CCJP Vice President Dong Zhenxin, Pan Qingsong and Zhong Yongsen. Cavalieri said that CIBJO had made great progress in China and had made significant inroads into China.%%On August 22, Cavalieri was guest of honor at the opening ceremony of the 13th China Art Exposition held at the China International Exhibition Centre of Beijing from August 22-26.
