The American Gem Society Laboratories, LLC (AGS Labs) announced enhancements made in its compact-sized Diamond Quality Analysis (“DQA”). The DQA will now be applicable for diamonds weighing from .18 carats up to 1.99 carats and will allow including a computer-generated Light Performance map for diamond shapes featured in the AGS Performance Grading system. %% The DQA was launched in 2007 and is presented in 8.5'' x 4.75'' format. It previously was offered for diamonds weighing up to .99 carats. The report contains a complete analysis of the diamond's Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat Weight, as well as a laser inscription of the AGS number. %% “Peter Yantzer, Executive Director of AGS Labs said, “The DQA is a very versatile document, and many of our clients find it useful in their sales pitch. We started seeing a demand for this grading report for slightly larger diamonds, and we were happy to make it available in order to meet our clients’ needs. We know that the more tools we can offer our clients, the easier it is for them to sell diamonds. This is especially true in the current economy, where differentiating your brand is all the more important.” %% The DQA is priced variable to the size of the diamond and starts from $45 for 0.18-0.59 carats to $95 for 1.50-1.99 carats. Pricing includes a required laser inscription of the AGS number.
