Indian Gem and Jewellery Awards acknowledges various initiatives, innovations, and milestones and hardwork of fellow people of industry.
At the end of the three-month period closing September 30, 2010, diamond manufacturing company Shrenuj & Co. noted a 23 percent increase in its net profits that valued $3.3 million, reports say. In the said period, overall sales increased 52 percent to $135.7 million. The diamond unit saw sales rise by 82 percent to $110.4 million, but jewellery sales saw a 6 percent drop to $27.2 million. The company’s expenses increased 56 percent to $127.4 million. %% The company attributes the good performance to a comeback in the gem and jewellery market. In its strategy ahead, it plans a focus on emerging strong markets - China and India.
