The Sotheby’s New York sale of Magnificent Jewels was marked with the single owner collection “Jewels from the Estate of William B. Deitrich, it offered and a diamond pendant by Tiffany & Co., embedded with a 27.19-carat DIF diamond. The pendant turnd out as the top lot of the sale, and was bought for $3,666,500. The total sale offered generated $53,228,590. %% of the lots offered, were diamond solitaires within 5-to-10-plus-carat range and sourced from privates, signed jewellery from Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Lalique and period pieces. %% The second top lot was a 54.20-carat fancy vivid yellow, VS1 diamond ring bought for $2,322,500, followed by a fancy light pink, internally flawless, type IIa, Golconda diamond sold for $2,266,500. All the top 10 lots sold for over $1 million.
